PBG & SLF in Bali: the process, documents, and order

PBG is approval to build to technical standards; SLF certifies a finished building is fit to use. Usually both are needed, in that order.

PBG & SLF in Bali: the process, documents, and order

PBG (Persetujuan Bangunan Gedung) replaced the old IMB and is the approval to build to technical standards. Once the building is finished and inspected, the SLF (Sertifikat Laik Fungsi) certifies it is fit to occupy.

Which documents are usually required?

Beyond technical drawings (architecture, structure, MEP), supporting documents are often needed: SPPL/UKL-UPL/AMDAL, Andalalin, SitePlan, IRK/ITR/SKRK/KRK/PKKPR, flood level (Peil Banjir), fire-safety recommendation, and electrical SLO. The exact list depends on the building's scale and use.

Because our technical drawings come from a coordinated BIM model, permit documents are more consistent and easier to review.
