Block Solution - Lombok is an MEP utilities design project intended to support the integrated operation of a factory and office facility. The work covered the design of the clean water distribution system, the sanitary waste water network, the arrangement of room air conditioning, and the lighting installation for an industrial building.
The Lombok site integrates a multi-storey office building with a plant floor framed in perforated WF steel sections, which calls for utility zoning that is both efficient and safe. Sanitation needs are met through communal toilets on each floor level, supported by a waste pipe system running at optimal pressure.
The mechanical and plumbing framework is mapped in detail through transparent 3D modelling, visualising the vertical and horizontal pipe runs fixed to the floor slabs right through to the placement of the bank of AC compressor units on the external facade. The result is structured, tidy technical documentation that makes the construction installation process straightforward on site.
