Mr. Zharif House
A private house in Bali built around quiet — dark-veined travertine, off-white walls, and a bedroom and study kept deliberately apart from everything else.
Mr. Zharif's project was designed as a place to pause, putting privacy, a high level of comfort and a considered aesthetic first. Without excess decoration, every corner is there to make an environment that is calm, settled and in step with the character of the person living in it.
The site is used to deliver as much quiet as possible — which makes the bedroom and study the favourite corners for getting energy back. The study looks straight out at the trees through a wide window opening, while the bedroom and bathroom are designed dark and warm to give maximum privacy after dark.
Material choices concentrate on dark-veined travertine and slab marble, off-white walls with a firm line, and durable, high-grade timber furniture. Softly upholstered beds, exclusive pendant lighting, and burgundy bathroom cabinetry produce rooms with a warm, grown-up, functional character.
